Determining the HS code is the first job to do when carrying out procedures for importing rice cookers. Lookup the HS code will help import taxes and import policies of the rice cooker. HS code is a series of numbers specified for each type of goods or group of goods. The hs code will be the same worldwide by at least the first 4 or 6 digits. Just In Time has compiled the hs code of the rice cooker. Please refer to the table below:
HS Code |
Describe |
85166010 |
Rice cooker hs code |
According to the table described above, the hs code of the rice cooker is 85166010. The import tax on rice cookers is 20%, VAT is 8% or 10%. The rent mentioned above is preferential tax. In addition, there are also special preferential taxes on goods imported from countries with which Vietnam has signed trade agreements such as: Eastern Europe, Europe, the United States, Chile, South Korea, China, Japan, and Asean countries.
If you have not identified the hs code of the rice cooker to be imported. Please contact our hotline or hotmail for advice.
Determining import tax is an important step in the process of carrying out procedures for importing rice cookers. Because import tax is an obligation that the importer must fulfill to the state. There are two types of import taxes, namely VAT and import tax. To determine the import tax, the HS code of the imported rice cooker must be determined. To determine the import tax, you can refer to the following calculation:
Import tax determined according to the import tax hs code is calculated according to the formula:
Import tax = CIF value x % tax rate
The CIF value is determined by the ex-factory value of the goods plus all costs to bring the goods to the first border gate of the importing country.
Import VAT is determined according to the formula:
Value Added Tax = (CIF Value + Import Tax) x % tax rate.
According to the above formula, import tax depends on the import tax rate. The import tax rate depends on the hs code of the rice cooker selected.
In addition, as mentioned above, for goods imported from countries and regions with which Vietnam has signed trade agreements, the import tax is usually 0%. Therefore, when negotiating in a transaction, the buyer asks the seller to provide a certificate of origin.
If you do not understand the origin of the paper, you can contact our hotline or hotmail for advice.
